"Intimate, Real, Raw"
"Just gonna be here, let the wind blow through my soul"
Singer-songwriter Bri Schillings, known professionally as Sweet Imperfections, is back with a new hauntingly alluring track that’s instantly been added to a multitude of our playlists. Titled “Ignorance is Violence”, it is a thought-provoking call to action for climate justice that is bound to pull on your heartstrings and fill you with motivation.
Written during the artist’s road trip in 2021, it stems from her experience witnessing the lingering smoke from the California wildfires — though the powerful passion in her voice can be traced back much further. Schillings has had a strong connection with nature since a child, finding solace in its protection and inspiration in its sounds. As she’s grown her voice and evolved her sound, her love for our magical landscape has only heightened. Listening to “Ignorance is Violence”, it is easy to hear her full heart in the lyrics and vocals.
“On top of experiencing first hand the hottest summer recorded, breathing smoke from the fires, we felt a weight of frustration and recognised our responsibility to take a stand,” Schillings explains. “We had recently watched Greta Thunberg’s documentary I am Greta which inspired us to use a clip from one of her speeches during the outro of the song.”
She continues, “I write about things I feel strongly about. Real stories. Real narratives. Songs with spirit in them. Songs with solutions. Songs with questions. I see the power music has to influence and bring attention to current events and create movements.”

Sweet imperfections is an expression of what it means to be a human being. We believe that our imperfections are not faults but a unique gift that gives purpose and meaning to life, and when nurtured and revered, has the power to inspire us to step out of shame and into love.

Be Brave
A song that wraps its loving arms around you and lets you take flight.
Deeper To The Core is a journey to open one to their ever-folding truths... that a deeper connection with ourselves is a doorway to a deeper connection with others. It takes us through an exploration of ourselves and the love that supports... as this deeper connectivity to one's own truth unfolds... so does the love that allows us to expand beyond our old stories and limitations.
We wrote this song during the “Black Lives Matter” movement over the summer with a desire to help this Country feel loved again and hopefully heal the deep divide between our people. Gently not Judgingly is calling out to us to; “Take a walk in my shoes and you will see, you’re not that much different from me”. We wanted to inspire people to understand and sympathize with our differences instead of condemning and judging people. Find a new way to make waves of real change”.
Since album purchasing is not virtually non-existent. Please support our music with a direct donation. This will enable us to meet our goals and continue to make beautiful sound that give back to this nurturing earth. Thank you for your support!
Let's go on an adventure’ and let heart, hand and voice flow. Music is my medicine. So much beauty and love out of so much pain.

Music is my first language, It connects us and conveys the feelings I cannot express through words alone. It has been my greatest form of communication
